2026-2027 Tryouts

This year we plan on fielding three lines in three divisions: Masters, Open Adult and Open Masters. 

MASTERS

The Masters line is a competitive team of 12-20 skaters, which is eligible to qualify for the National Synchronized Skating Championships. The team will travel to three or four competitions around the country and perform at up to two exhibitions in NYC. There will also be up to four regional bootcamps.

Practice Day: Thursday (Tuesdays may be added in Feb/March pending Nationals qualification) 

Age Requirement: 25+ (by July 1, 2026)

Test Requirement: No formal test requirement. Bronze Skating Skills/Juvenile Moves in the Field or equivalent skillset recommended.

OPEN ADULT

The Open Adult line is a competitive team of 8-20 skaters. The team will travel to three or four competitions, usually on the east coast, and perform at up to two (2) exhibitions in NYC. There will also be up to four regional bootcamps. 

Practice Day: Tuesdays 

Age Requirement: 18+

Test Requirement: No formal test requirement. Pre-Bronze (Pre-Juvenile) Moves in the Field or equivalent skillset recommended.

MOMENTUM

The Momentum line competes in the Open Masters division with a focus on skill development, performance, and team camaraderie. Skaters with a range of skating experience are welcome. The team will compete in two (2) regional competitions and perform at up to two (2) exhibitions in NYC. The season will also include additional bootcamps in the greater NYC area for additional training and team development.

Practice Day: Fridays

Age Requirement: 25+ (by July 1, 2026)

Test Requirement: None.

All lines will also have regularly scheduled Skills and Drills practices and off-ice practices throughout the season. Detailed practice and competitions schedules will be provided with line offers; this is meant to be merely a brief description of the levels and the requisite time commitment.
